IPL 2015 Opening Ceremony and Schedule
The captains of all the eight IPL teams made their way
to the podium and not surprisingly received a huge round of applause
from the thousands that had thronged the stadium to catch a glimpse of
their favorite cricketing superstars. As is the norm every year, the
captains took the MCC Spirit of Cricket pledge, reaffirming the values
in IPL’s commitment to the Spirit of Cricket, which has been on display
since the competition’s inception in 2008. Defending champions and
captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders Gautam Gambhir then made his way to
put the trophy back in play signaling the start of the 2015 season.

Most runs scored by a batsmen in a single day of a Test Match
When we take a look at this list on 11 batsmen have been successful in scoring 225 or more runs in a single day of a Test match, with the highest being 309 by Sir Don Bradman against England. Often it is seen that a team doesn't score 309 runs in a day and a player alone has done it. He is also the only player to score 300 or more runs in a single day of a Test match.
Only 2 batsmen have been successful in scoring 225 or more runs in a single day of Test match and they are the legendary cricketer Sir Don Bradman and Virender Sehwag from India.

Indian cricketers reigned supreme in early phases of auction for the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday, with Yuvraj Singh going to the Royal Challengers Bangalore for a staggering Rs. 14 crore. Wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik attracted a winning bid of Rs. 12.5 crore from Delhi Daredevils.
Yuvraj, who was earlier with the Pune Warriors (now disbanded), and Karthik fetched the highest price among the 16 marquee players, who were up for grabs in the first session of auction.

Bajaj Auto has unveiled two new scintillating bikes - Pulsar CS400, Pulsar SS 400 - at the 2014 Auto Expo. While enthusiasts were expecting a jazzed-up version of the 200NS, the company gave them a surprise of a lifetime with these two exciting models, with the larger 375cc engines. Bajaj hasn't divulged much details on the two models, however, all we know is that both of them are already pulling crowd to the Bajaj stall, thanks to their amazing design.

Sachin Tendulkar gets Bharat Ratna Award
Sachin Tendulkar is the first sportsperson and the youngest recipient of the award till date, surpassing late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi's record.
Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and eminent scientist professor CNR Rao Tuesday have been conferred with the country's highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna by President Pranab Mukherjee at a function here today.

Sachin Tendulkar took to the pitch on November 14, 2013 for his 200th and final Test against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Tendulkar is ending an international career spanning nearly a quarter of a century during which he became the all-time leading Test and one-day batsman and the only man to score 100 international centuries.
