After a thunderous start (given the dull pre-Diwali phase), Rakesh Roshan's Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Vivek Oberoi starrer, KRRISH 3, continued its victorious march on the next two days, netting around 52-53 crore during opening weekend, despite the fact that a sizeable number of the audience kept away due to Laxmi Pooja and Diwali celebrations.
However, it was on Monday, post Diwali night where KRRISH 3 decided to set the box-office on fire and created a new single day record by beating both, Shah Rukh Khan's CHENNAI EXPRESS and Salman Khan's EK THA TIGER, netting a huge 33 crore!
In the process KRRISH 3 has netted nearly 85 crores in four days from India, very much as per our Saturday prediction range. And we are not even talking about the Tamil and Telugu versions which have reportedly added another 5-6 crores.
In fact as we file this report, based on Tuesday inputs KRRISH 3 has gone well past the 100 crore mark.
In the overseas too KRRISH 3 has done wonderfully, grossing $4m, with and#163;409,000 from UK, $1,049,560 from the US, during the opening weekend (1-3 November).
As things stand, KRRISH 3 is sure to be a blockbuster, if not an all-time blockbuster, the only question that remains to be answered is whether the film will enter the 200 crore club or not!
